Weymouth Woods
My Principles of Wildlife Science class took a trip to Weymouth Woods to see the mature pine forest habitat that the red-cockaded woodpecker prefers.
We didn't see any RCWs, but we saw salamanders, a beaver dam, the various stages of the successional pine forests and a fox squirrel.
